Broadcaster: which types it suits
Media
The running order changes a minute before going live
A broadcaster plans and produces programmes and puts them out on screen and on air. Directors, writers, camera and lighting crews, sound, editors and presenters work as one team, and everything flows towards an absolute deadline: airtime. A studio recording only works when dozens of people are in sync, and live broadcasting calls for decisions by the second.
It suits people who love the energy of making something together with many others and who respond quickly when things don't go to plan. It's rewarding to know that a programme you worked on reaches a lot of people, and you meet new subjects and guests every time. For people who want a regular routine and time to focus alone, though, irregular shoot schedules and coordinating a large crew can be a lot.
