Zombie Outbreak · role

The Medic: which types it suits

Care

Knows how many plasters are left, and who didn't sleep last night.

The medic looks after the group's health. In an outbreak, the most common emergency isn't a zombie at all: it's a twisted ankle on the stairs, a knee scraped climbing a fence, a headache on its third day. The medic keeps the first-aid kit in order, writes the pharmacy shopping list and makes sure everyone is drinking enough water. When someone's hurt, the medic gets there first, and firmly sits down anyone who insists they're fine. Just knowing the kit is where it should be lets everyone breathe a little easier.

Read as a personality: quick hands, steady nerves. They can't walk past someone who's struggling, but they don't wobble in front of it either; they just get on with what needs doing, calmly. They trust the proper order of things, and 'there's a right way to do this' is a favourite phrase. They check on everyone else first and on themselves last.
